In 2008 Claire was involved with a pilot that was looking for actors and performers that were dissatisfied with their careers and fed up of struggling to make it. This was her introduction to techniques that improved her life, her thoughts and her emotions. The pilot didn’t go anywhere but Claire Anstey did. This new knowledge blew her away. She would stay up late reading and searching for more information absorbing it all like a sponge. This stuff made her feel good enough and content for the first time in her life. What she read made her feel invincible. It caused her life to steer into a whole new direction as she just knew she had to share it. This is when she decided to steer her life in a new direction and become a trained therapist and mental health professional.
She has been studying metaphysics, philosophy, Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness and everything that gets her creative juices excited with various teachers and schools since.
It is this newfound wisdom and excitement that inspired her to write. Claire writes and creates content about how she has overcome her own life experiences through learning these new methods and the adventures she creates by following her heart.
Her debut novel “Sort Out Your Crap Life” was released in 2010. 2012 saw the release of her second book MendMaker: The Survival Guide For Break Ups and Broken Hearts and the release of her magazine Affirmations – a monthly digital magazine full of her inspiration and tips on keeping fabulous. This magazine relaunched in 2014 under her new coaching brand Operation Goddess by Claire Anstey. The magazine was stopped in 2015 as Claire decided to focus on her chat show "The Anstey show"
Anstey writes & presents with honestly, warmth and a freshness that enables people to feel like they are chatting to a best friend. Her books, shows, courses and content are about her lifestyle, her personality and her philosophy for living. She creates to connect with her generation.
Anstey discovered burlesque & the beautiful world of "pin up" many many years ago. Her body issues melted away as she fell in love with this art form & its vintage fashion. Within weeks of her discovery she was working for Proud Cabaret - one of London's best burlesque & cabaret venues. She then trained as a burlesque dancer & performer. April 2015 saw her achieve another one of her dreams “The Transformational Tease” Show, the UK’s (and possibly the worlds) 1st motivational burlesque show which debuted in London.
Claire is proud to be an ambassador for CALM, a unique mental health charity for young men in the UK. Her frankness with her own life experience of losing her childhood sweetheart through suicide has enabled her to connect with others and gather together some of the world’s best musicians and comedians for events such as “Stand Up To Stop Suicide”. More can be found out about her role on the CALM page on this website and at www.thecalmzone.net.
With her personal development businesses doing well and her qualifications in much need Claire has decided to go back into TV and Media once more to share her knowledge and use her experience to help others.
Her knowledge as a mental health ambassador, the content of her work and her sassy attitude make her a great asset to topical programming. Her extensive live experience also enables her to control a live studio audience in an instant. With an exquisite sense of style and energy that is perfect for entertainment, she multitasks an auto-cue on a multi-camera shoot with an elegance that puts most to shame.
